The story of the Voice of Hospitality Initiative (VOHI) began with a simple yet powerful passion—cooking. For Oladepo Precious, this passion was discovered during undergraduate studies at the University of Ilorin. What started as preparing meals soon became something deeper: a way to connect with people, bring joy, and make a difference in the lives of others. This desire to give back led to the creation of the Oladepo Timilehin Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization focused on supporting vulnerable communities. Early efforts included: Visiting orphanages Supporting families in rural areas Training individuals in catering skills Empowering small-scale entrepreneurs As the organization grew, so did its impact. However, a period of reflection created an opportunity to refocus efforts on a group often overlooked—hospitality workers. This led to the birth of the Voice of Hospitality Initiative (VOHI)—a renewed mission dedicated to supporting, empowering, and advocating for hospitality workers across Africa. Today, VOHI stands as a growing movement committed to ensuring that those who serve others are not left behind in times of need.
